Powell.

For my family, Lake Powell and Memorial Day weekend go hand in hand.
They always have.
Summer truly begins when we get down to Powell for the first time.
It was a perfect weekend filled with friends, waterskiing, surfing, paddle ball, games,
delicious food, laughing, boating, and sunshine.
It's impossible to be anything but happy in Lake Powell.
I just love it so.

May happenings.

Life has been an assortment of fortunate accidents and happy moments lately.
Each day has brought something wonderfully new.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring!
Either way I'm excited.

an island in the sun.

A couple weeks ago my mom and I jetted off to Hawaii
to celebrate my graduation from BYU.
It was such a perfect week.
We played tennis, we went running, we shopped, we swam,
we played paddle ball, and we got lots of sun!
My mom is that person that has all the answers.
I loved talking to her all week and listening to all her advice.
She will always tell me what I need to hear. And I so appreciate it.
I will carry this trip with me forever. It was magical.

She sparkles.

^^^Sometimes I want my mom to submit pictures of her home to Martha Stewart
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there.
But I have to say Happiest of Mother's Days to my mom.
She sparkles.
I don't know how else to say it.
Everything she does, everything she is always has a touch of sparkle.
She is loved by everyone, but she is especially loved by her family.
If there's anything I hope to capture from my mom
it's the sparkle.
I love you madly.

BYU grad.

This may seem a little after the fact,
but I am officially a BYU graduate!
The day finally came and they really did call my name and hand me my diploma.
(I was always a little worried they wouldn't for some reason)
It is truly an extraordinary feeling.

I wouldn't take back one second of my BYU life.
I feel so blessed because I got to do everything I wanted to do.
Dance? Check check and check.
London Study Abroad? Check.
An internship in Washington D.C.? Check.
Through all of these experiences I learned so much about the world, and so much about myself.
Each of them brought irreplaceable people into my life who have influenced me in the best way.
College may be over, but I will take all of those life lessons, journeys, adventures, trials, and joys
with me every where I go.

Thank you mom and dad for making all of this possible. And thank you BYU for giving me more than I ever could have imagined.

Go Cougars!
