Worth the Wake

Lots of pictures coming your way...
Last weekend a big group of us caravanned down to Powell for one last summer adventure.
Carli and I try to do this trip every year. There's nothing like Powell + good friends.
You would have to try really hard not to have a great time.
This particular trip will probably always be remembered as one of my very favorites.
Everyone was just so easygoing and happy and up for anything and that is what you need in Powell.

We surfed, skied, tubed, swam, laughed, sang, trick skied around the bay, survived a lightning storm, watched movies up top, laughed some more, showered late at night to "Sweet Caroline", and just sincerely enjoyed each other's company.

I am so lucky to have amazing parents who drove the boat around, made us delicious dinner, and took good care of us. I'm also beyond lucky to have incredible friends. These people are truly amazing and I just feel privileged to be around them.

Until next year Powell! XOXO

utah fun.

This weekend was full of fun exclusive to the state of Utah.
On Friday night I went to an event downtown called, "Craft Lake City".
Basically, artists from all over the state come to this festival and sell their one-of-a-kind crafts.
It was so amazing and fun. People are so talented and creative. I was constantly in awe of all the different things they were selling.
I liked it so much that I took my mom down the next day. We found a few worthy gems. I can't wait to display them around my house.
Today Carli, Daniel, Chloee, and I went up to Park City to see the Tour of Utah's final stage.
Thanks to my dad (and Subaru), we got to be part of the VIP area and had a perfect view of the cyclists crossing the finish line.
The atmosphere was fantastic. People were cheering and jangling cowbells and I think the riders really felt the excitement as they came through that last stretch.
Utah, thanks for having such incredible events. I enjoy them all!

happy birthday dad!

I have the best dad in the world.
I've probably said this many, many times on this blog, but that's only because it's true.
It was his birthday on Monday and even though he makes it hard to buy him gifts and make a big hoopla out of it we still managed to get some celebrating in.
The world became a better place the day Kirk Schneider was born.
I know this because any person I've ever met who has interacted with my dad always has wonderful things to say about him. Every. Single. Time.
I might be biased, but I think he's pretty perfect.
It's not hard to see why. He is kind and generous and loving. He brings out the best in people. He is loyal, he is fun, and he is the best husband and father. He has the best heart.

Happy Birthday Dad. Oh how I love you so!

friends.

To the wonderful people I feel lucky to call friends:

"I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person."
-Audrey Hepburn

I can't say it better than that.
xoxo
